The FS 642 is a horizontal two-stage filter separator, where the first stage is a filter-coalescer and the second stage consists of a demister. Glass fiber filter elements are usually employed for the first stage. The demister corresponding to the second stage can be vane type, knitted wire-mesh, cyclone or multicyclone.
The FS 642 filter separators can be used in the natural gas regulating and metering stations, gas delivery stations, gas dehydration units, compressor stations, etc. and are intended to retain solid impurities and liquid suspended particles in order to protect the pipelines, equipment and devices which could be damaged because of particle-contaminated gas.
